Forest School Ethos

Children learn exclusively outdoors, 

Classes are held daily in nature, 

year round if the temperature is

above 15 degrees Fahrenheit.

The children decide 

where we go and what they do each day,  which leads to more meaningful learning experiences.

One Forest School Learning Guide facilitates nature-based learning experiences for a pod of four children.

Each Forest School Learning Guide 

lends their personal touch 

to support, scaffold and enhance each child's learning experiences.

We guide children through the emotional journey of preschool. 

We nurture self-help skills as they learn to navigate their daily lives.

At Colorado Nature School, every child is a custodian. We learn in and from the environment and we strive to leave it better than we found it each day.
